The Burchell family started installing Lightning Protection Systems on residential buildings in Western Ontario in 1936. In 1948, they moved to Perth and named the company Burchell Supply Limited. They continued to install Lightning Protection and began to take on commercial and industrial installations. Burchell Supply also insulated homes by blower method insulation, installed windows, doors, siding, eavestroughing, amongst other home improvement products, and also glass and aluminium store fronts.

In 1992, Burchell Supply Limited was broken down into three smaller companies, one being Burchell Lightning Protection Limited. It is owned and managed by myself, Garry Tysick and my partner, my son Jason Tysick. We market our company mainly in Western Quebec, Eastern, Central and Northern Ontario. We have worked farther afield in places such as Bermuda, Bahamas, Vancouver, India, Jamaica and New Brunswick. However, the bulk of our work is in the Ottawa and Toronto regions. We concentrate on commercial installations but also do residential work when requested.
